Professional Education

Dr. Whittaker received a bachelor of science
degree in biological sciences from University of Denver in
Denver, Colorado, and a medical degree from Baylor College
of Medicine in Houston. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine in
Indianapolis, and was a fellow in hematology and oncology
at the Indiana University Medical Center. Dr. Whittaker also
received a master of science degree in clinical research design
and statistical analysis from the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Honors & Memberships

Dr. Whittaker is a member of the American College of
Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Indiana
State Medical Association, and the Indiana Medical Oncology Society, on which he served on the executive board for several
years. He is a member of the Association of Community
Cancer Centers and currently services on the National Board
of Directors. He also served as a clinical assistant professor
at the Indiana University School of Medicine for five years,
and was named outstanding medical oncologist by Indianapolis Monthly in 1998.

Personal

Dr. Whittaker has lived in Central Indiana since 1987. He is
