Professional Education
Dr. Murali attended Salem Municipal College in Salem, Madras State, India, and received his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degree from Madras Medical College also in Madras, India. He completed a senior house surgeoncy in internal medicine at Government General Hospital in Madras, before coming to the United States, where he served a rotating internship at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, New York. Dr. Murali was a resident in internal medicine at Queen's Hospital Catholic Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in hematology at Long Island Jewish-Hillside Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York, and a fellowship in oncology and hematology at Catholic Medical Center in Jamaica, New York.

Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, subspecialties: hematology and oncology.
Honors & Memberships
Dr. Murali is president of Central Indiana Cancer Centers.He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American College of Physicians, Indiana State Medical Association, Marion County Medical Society, and a member of the National Policy Board at US Oncology. Dr. Murali is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, and was the Chairman of the Department of Oncology at Community Hospital of Indianapolis.
Personal
Dr. Murali and his wife have two sons. He has lived in Central Indiana since 1975.
