Professional Education
Dr. Loesch received his bachelor's degree in mathematics with honors from University of Minnesota Institute of Technology, and his medical degree from the University's Medical School. He completed his internship at West Virginia University, and his residency at the University of Iowa Affiliate Program at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Des Moines Veteran's Administration Hospital. Dr. Loesch earned a fellowship at the University of Texas Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute, followed by a fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Texas in San Antonio.

Honors & Memberships
Dr. Loesch has made significant contributions in the areas of breast cancer research and clinical practice, and was recently honored by the Indiana Breast Cancer Alliance (IBCA) with the 2006 Medical Researcher “Excellence” Award. He works extensively with pharmaceutical companies in the development of new drugs for the treatment of breast cancer, and has served as co-chairman of the breast cancer committees for the US Oncology Network and the Hoosier Oncology Group. In addition to his clinical practice with CICC, Dr. Loesch is the primary investigator and scientific director of the Indiana Cancer Research Foundation, a non-profit organization chartered by the hematologists and oncologists of Central Indiana Cancer Centers. He is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the New York Academy of Sciences and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
