Professional Education

Dr. Beganovic attended medical school at the University of Sarajevo School of Medicine, and received clinical training in hematology at the University Medical Center in Sarajevo and the University of Wales College of Medicine. Upon arrival in the United States, he conducted research at the Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology at the University of Louisville Brown Cancer Center, then completed his residency in internal medicine at the Roanoke Salem Internal Medicine Program. He served as a fellow in hematology and oncology at the University of Tennessee Cancer Institute in Memphis.

Honors & Memberships

Dr. Beganovic is has received numerous awards during his career, including the Hasan Brkic award for outstanding results of medicine and the Dr. Bogdan Zimonjic Foundation Award. He also received the award for outstanding achievements in clinical medicine from the University Medical Center.

Dr. Beganovic is married, and has lived in Central Indiana
since 2003.
